2-200 session recap from Saturday night

So, for the past couple weeks, I've really had the itch to go play in the 2-200 game @ a local casino here in Spokane. It's a very easy game, w/ very loose, aggressive players evenly mixed with some calling stations. So finally, Saturday night, I finally decided to head on down, and play.

First hour, not really much i could get going, I only won 1 small pot w/ AA, but nothing worth talking about. Starting stack was down to about 150, from 200 buy in. I picked up 33, in the SB, and called a raise to 12, 4 way action. Flop comes down 3s8sJd. I bet out 20, one caller, one fold, and the original raiser pops it to 40. I make the decision to smooth call, after thinking for about 90 seconds. The flat caller comes over the top for 100 total, and the other player calls. I came over the top all in, obv play for me I think. Both players call. Turn and river xx, One player has AQss, and the other shows a J, and mucks. I triple up to about 450, and was feeling really good.

Played for about another hour, didn't pick up much for hands, and was down to about 375 when the next big hand came up. I had 78dd in the BB, and called a raise to 10, and was in a 3 way pot. Flop came down AdQd3d. I bet out 20, original raiser calls, HU on the turn. Turn is a 7s, very harmless. I bet out 60 on the turn, and was insta called by the raiser. I put him on either the KK with one diamond, or a set. River was the Js, another very safe card for me. I bet out 125, and pretty quickly was called, and he tabled AQ. I don't really like his call here on the river, because what can he beat? He really can only beat a bluff, or AK w/ K of d. Any case, i was up to around 600 after this hand.

I really only played one more really big pot, and this was with QhQd. I was on the button, and had about 6 limpers. I raised it up to 20, and recieved one caller from late position. Flop of Qx4h6h. Checked to me, I bet out 35, and instantly was come over the top of for 140 more all in. I call, and he tables AQ no hearts, i was up to about 800 after that hand. I won a few more pots to get up to 900, and lost a couple medium size pots, and finished the session at around 700. Felt pretty good to me, very profitable session. I think that I played pretty well, made some pretty good plays i think, but also mad ea couple really questionable ones. It will just give me a few things to work on in the future, and I will be working on turning this into a very profitable habit.

More to come later
